System Planning Corporation was founded in 1970 by Dr. Ronald
L. Easley. His vision was to bring together an elite staff to conduct
unbiased national security research for the Department of Defense
and other agencies of the federal government. During its first
decade, SPC focused on research and studies in the areas of
arms control; nuclear, chemical, and biological warfare; advanced
technologies; ballistic missile defense; Soviet weapon system
performance and capabilities versus U.S. systems; continuity of
government; test and evaluation of major weapon systems; and
long-range planning.
In 1979, SPC branched into the manufacture of electronic systems. We designed,
prototyped, and manufactured a radar system that could precisely measure the radar cross
section (RCS) of the new generation of stealth platforms. As a result of this work, SPC
emerged as a major contributor to the low-observables community. Today, SPC is
producing its fifth generation of RCS radar as well as new electronic products to meet a
broader spectrum of national requirements.
In the early 1990s, SPC recognized the growing importance of information technology in
government and industry as one of the key challenges in the next century. Our information
specialists are developing computer applications to address diverse problems.
SPC has increased and refined our core competencies not only to meet emerging
government requirements, but also to strategically plan and refine our organizational
capabilities to meet future needs.
