SPC Sells 50th Instrumentation Radar System
SPC has launched the manufacturing process for its 50th instrumentation radar system. This system, to be delivered to GE Aerospace in late 2003, marks SPC’s 19th MkV radar.
The MkV line of radars was introduced in 1996 and continues a nearly 25-year history of instrumentation radars. These systems are used by nearly all major US aerospace firms, several US military organizations, and a number of foreign companies and governments.
Since its initial design, MkV capabilities have been enhanced dramatically through incorporation of advancing state-of-the-art technology. In today’s MkV system, broadcast memory provides increased flexibility for data distribution, storage and real-time processing; a capable, yet friendly user interface is continuously enhanced based on customer requirements and years of operational experience; unparalleled sensitivity is achieved through advances in RF and digital technology; and a proven design offers exceptional reliability.
Additional features such as real-time imaging, pulse-to-pulse IF transmit attenuator control, real-time background subtraction, and dynamic tracking make the MkV ideally suited to indoor, outdoor, or dynamic measurement environments.
The MkV line is developed and supported by the most experienced team of engineers and technicians at work in the field today.
