System Planning Corporation Awarded Contract to Study U.S. Navy Base Fire Services
Arlington, Va. - System Planning Corporation (SPC) today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of fire department services at Navy installations. The study will focus initially on Navy bases in San Diego, Calif., Kingsville, Texas, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
SPC's TriData division, a nationally recognized fire and emergency preparedness consulting organization, will complete a detailed analysis and evaluation of the delivery of base fire and emergency services. The study will identify opportunities for operational improvement and potential cost savings at each installation evaluated. TriData will also make recommendations for improving fire and emergency services readiness Navy-wide.
In San Diego, the study will include Naval Air Station North Island, Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, Naval Station San Diego, and Naval Submarine Base San Diego. In Texas, the study will examine Naval Air Station Kingsville. In Cuba, the study will review fire department services at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay.
