System Planning Corporation Names Luke Ver Heul Program Manager for Emerging
Threat Countermeasures
Arlington, VA., Aug. 5 -- System Planning Corporation (SPC) today announced
that Luke Ver Heul has joined the company as Program Manager for Emerging
Threat Countermeasures in its growing homeland security practice.
Ver Heul's expertise in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and
Explosive (CBRNE) device countermeasures and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)
support complements the company's move to enhance its preparedness and response
capabilities.
According to a spokesman, the announcement represents SPC's expanding
commitment to providing world-class homeland security planning, systems and
services to government and industry clients.
"Luke Ver Heul brings a wealth of special operations and EOD expertise with
him," said Joe Rozek, SPC's Vice President for Security, Operations and
Technology. "His global military operational experience will help us provide
our customers with the best in EOD and CBRNE countermeasures planning, training
and support services."
Ver Heul joins SPC's National Intelligence, Security and Response Division
following a stellar career in the U.S. Army, where he garnered 26 years
experience in explosive ordnance disposal, including 12 years assigned to
special operations forces.
During his career, he planned and provided critical EOD support during
deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Somalia, India and Panama. His
technical and training skills were instrumental in preparation for key national
security special events like the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.
Ver Heul retired from the Army this year with the rank of Command Sergeant
Major. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army's Sergeant Major Academy and the
Command Sergeant Major course held there. During his career he has held many
key leadership posts and has trained EOD operators from allied countries, and
U.S. federal, state, and local agencies as well.
