System Planning Corporation Establishes Homeland Security Internship Program
Arlington, VA (Nov. 15) -- System Planning Corporation (SPC) today announced
its sponsorship of a new paid internship program designed to enhance the
education of students pursuing homeland security-related studies at three major
universities in the National Capital Region.
Dr. Ronald L. Easley, SPC's Chief Executive Officer, said the internships "will
enable some of the nation's brightest students to contribute to a number of the
important and interesting Homeland Security research and analysis programs" in
which the company participates.
SPC is working with George Washington University, Georgetown University, and
American University to promote the internships on campus to students enrolled
in both graduate and undergraduate Homeland Security-related programs.
Students selected for the internship program will work alongside SPC
researchers, analysts and scientists to support the company's efforts to
improve maritime supply chain security, continuity of operations planning
(COOP), fire and emergency services evaluation, and after-action analyses of
government response to catastrophic events.
Charles L. Cragin, Senior Vice President of SPC's National Intelligence,
Security and Response Division will lead the program, which will be based at
the company's Arlington headquarters and nearby research facility.
Additional Information about the SPC Homeland Security Internship Program is
