System Planning Corporation Names Howard W. Kympton Vice President for
Commercialization and Business Development.
Arlington, VA (Feb. 23) --
System Planning Corporation (SPC) today announced that former Department of
Homeland Security (DHS) program director Howard W. Kympton has been named its
Vice President for Commercialization and Business Development.
The announcement represents SPCs expanding commitment to providing world-class
Homeland Security systems and services to government and industry clients.
Howard Kympton brings a wealth of transportation security and business
development experience with him, said Dr. Ronald Easley, SPCs Chief Executive
Officer. He will help us develop and bring to the marketplace our
transportation supply chain security products and services.
Kympton joins SPC from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in DHS.
There, he oversaw development and implementation of a transportation data
fusion center designed to improve security oversight of the surface
transportation supply chain from point of origin to final destination. He also
was involved in other complex transportation security projects in five of the
six modes (less aviation) for which TSA is responsible.
His immediate focus at SPC will be to commercialize GlobalTrakTM, the companys
Global Container Security System, and its Transportation System Data Fusion
Center, which both were demonstrated successfully in DHS Operation Safe
Commerce.
An experienced senior executive, Kympton previously was president of Wellford
Associates Worldwide, a successful consulting practice he founded. He also
served successively as CEO of the two largest industrial divisions of McCormick
and Co., Inc., with domestic and international responsibilities.
A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, Kympton obtained an MS in
nuclear engineering at North Carolina State University and an MBA in management
from Long Island University.
